FEDS TAKE OVER CASE AGAINST DENROY MORGAN

The feds appears to be calling the shots against veteran reggae singer Denroy Morgan, arrested last year for scheming to sell more than 350 lbs of ganja.

Morgan who scored his big hit “I’ll Do Anything for You” in the early 1980’s, had been busted  last year after  allegedly departing a Bronx stash house carrying a trash bag stuffed with 25 lbs of marijuana.

The case against him within the Bronx Supreme Court ended up getting dismissed yesterday immediately after federal prosecutors in Manhattan filed an indictment charging Morgan with distribution and possession of marijuana.

Morgan’s son, vocalist Roy “Gramps” Morgan, has recently referred to his father’s arrest as “baloney,” however court documents indicate his defense attorney has currently been discussing a possible plea deal.
